The collective’s places — every physical location and geographic feature we document, from buildings and homes to enclosures, fields, zones, dykes and check dams. This is the vault’s spatial layer.
Geography is anchored to OpenStreetMap. Each place note carries an osm: reference (the canonical OSM node / way / relation) and/or a coordinates: lat,lng point for features not yet in OSM. Tooling reads those two fields to plot records on a map. A place may also carry a short code: (e.g. FQ3A) that a WireViz connector references, so a wire in a diagram resolves to a spot on the map.
Places are grouped into category subfolders:
- Farm Quarters — the first formal construction: three semi-detached buildings, six homes (1A–3B).
- Campground — huts, camp kitchen, toilets and shower (and the fibre backbone’s Lunch hut / Workshop hut).
- Residential — two housing clusters, H1 cluster (homes 16–50) and H2 cluster (homes 1–15); each home is individually owned with its own page.
- Farm units — the private agricultural parcels (
F-01–F-53) that are the primary basis of membership; each owned by a member family. - Facilities — shared facilities (currently the Solar shed).
